Terms of Service
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by EINNumber.io (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide professional preparation, review, and filing assistance for U.S. Employer Identification Number (EIN) applications via IRS Form SS-4. Our services include document review, SS-4 preparation, submission to the IRS via fax or mail, status tracking, and ongoing support as specified in each package.
Important: EINNumber.io is a private service provider. We are not affiliated with the IRS, U.S. Department of the Treasury, or any government agency. We are not a law firm, CPA firm, or bank. The IRS issues EINs free of charge to those who apply directly. Our fees cover professional preparation, review, filing assistance, and ongoing support — not the EIN itself. Timelines depend on IRS processing and cannot be guaranteed.
2. Not legal, tax, or financial advice
We are not attorneys, certified public accountants, enrolled agents, or financial advisors. Information provided by us is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice. For matters that require professional advice in those areas, you should consult a qualified professional.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of any entity for which you engage our services. By engaging us, you represent and warrant that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
4. Your responsibilities
- Providing accurate, complete information about yourself and your entity
- Submitting the requested company certificate and information in a timely manner
- Reviewing and approving drafts before submission to the IRS
- Ensuring you have legal authority to apply for an EIN on behalf of the entity
- Paying agreed fees through the PayPal payment link we send you
- Maintaining your own copies of documents we submit on your behalf
5. Our responsibilities
- Preparing your SS-4 with reasonable professional care
- Submitting your application to the IRS via the appropriate channel
- Communicating status updates within a reasonable timeframe
- Maintaining confidentiality of your information per our Privacy Policy
- For packages that include filing, resubmitting at no charge if the IRS does not assign your EIN
6. IRS processing and timelines
The IRS issues EINs on its own timeline. Processing times for fax and mail submissions from outside the U.S. can range from a few days to around three months, depending on IRS workload, the filing channel and case complexity. With our status follow-up most clients receive their EIN within 1–2 weeks. We do not guarantee any specific timeline. Delays caused by the IRS are outside our control.
7. Fees and payment
Our fees are clearly stated on our pricing page and in the engagement email you receive after initial consultation. Fees are due in full before we submit your SS-4 to the IRS, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payments are made through PayPal checkout, which in most countries also accepts debit and credit cards.
8. Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the stage of your engagement:
- Before SS-4 submission: Full refund available upon request.
- After SS-4 submission: No refund, as the core work has been completed. However, if the IRS does not assign your EIN, we will resubmit at no additional cost.
- Banking Readiness and other add-on services: Refundable for the portion not yet delivered.
See our Refund Policy for full details.
9. Intellectual property
All website content, templates, and proprietary materials are our intellectual property and may not be copied, distributed, or used without our express written permission. You retain ownership of all information you provide to us.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost business opportunities, or damages from IRS delays).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your provision of false or misleading information, or your misuse of our services.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate the engagement before SS-4 submission. After submission, the SS-4 work is considered complete and the engagement ends naturally upon EIN delivery or after reasonable follow-up support.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India (without regard to conflict of laws principles). Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in India.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
